AML and Verification at Raptorwins Casino
Every account on raptor-wins.co.uk goes through identity and anti-money-laundering checks. This page sets out when we verify you, what documents we may ask for, and how we keep that information secure.
AML Compliance at Raptorwins Casino
We operate under a licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), and that licence binds us to Malta's Prevention of Money Laundering Act and the implementing procedures of the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU). Since launching in 2023, Raptorwins Casino has treated these rules as a condition of operating, not an optional extra. They apply to every player, every deposit and every withdrawal, without exception.
For you, this means three things. We confirm who you are before money leaves the platform. We monitor activity on your account against patterns associated with money laundering. And where the law obliges us, we file reports with the relevant authority, which we cannot discuss with you even if you ask.
When We Verify Your Account
Verification points
We run an electronic age and identity check when you register, because nobody under 18 may hold an account with us. Full document verification is triggered before your first withdrawal, at any point where your cumulative activity crosses our internal thresholds, and on a periodic basis for accounts that stay active over long periods. A verified account is the only kind we can pay winnings to.
We ask for three categories of document: proof of identity, proof of address and proof that the payment method you use belongs to you.
| Category | Accepted documents | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Passport, driving licence or national ID card | Valid, unexpired, all four corners visible, name and date of birth legible |
| Address | Utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill | Issued in your name, dated within the last three months, full address visible |
| Payment method | Card photo, e-wallet screenshot or bank statement | Card: first six and last four digits visible, expiry date shown. E-wallet: account holder name and account number or email visible |
Our Verification Process in Detail
Five steps from upload to approval
Verification runs through the secure cashier area of your account, so nothing is sent by email unless we tell you otherwise. Here is the sequence from your side.
- Register your account. We run an instant electronic check against public and licensed data sources to confirm your age and identity.
- Play as normal. If the electronic check is inconclusive, or a withdrawal triggers full verification, we will contact you.
- Upload your documents through the verification section of the cashier. Photos or PDFs are both accepted, up to 10 MB per file.
- Our compliance team reviews the files, normally within 24 hours and within 72 hours at peak times such as weekends and holidays.
- We notify you of the outcome by email and through your account. If anything is unclear or expired, we tell you exactly which document to replace.
How your documents are protected
Files are transmitted over TLS encryption and stored on servers encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to our compliance staff who need it to do their jobs, every access is logged, and we never sell or share verification data with marketing partners. We process your documents under GDPR and our privacy policy, which sets out your rights of access, correction and erasure.
When We Ask About Your Funds
If your deposits exceed £10,000 in total, or if a single transaction or a run of transactions sits far outside your usual pattern, we may ask you to show where the money came from. This is not an accusation. It is a legal obligation on our side to confirm that funds wagered with us have a legitimate origin.
Acceptable evidence depends on your circumstances. For employed players, three recent payslips or an employment contract usually suffice. For self-employed players, we accept company accounts or tax returns. Where funds come from an asset sale, a completed sale contract or estate documents work. For investment income, dividend or interest statements are what we need.
We only request what the law requires and no more. The more clearly your documents connect the deposited amount to a verifiable source, the faster the review concludes.
Monitoring Your Deposits and Withdrawals
Every payment is checked
Each deposit and withdrawal passes through automated screening before it is accepted. Deposits are matched against your verified payment methods, and withdrawals are returned to the same method you used to fund your account wherever that method supports payouts. If it does not, we pay by bank transfer to an account held in your own verified name. We never send funds to a third party, and we never accept deposits from an account that is not yours.
The table below sets out the limits and timeframes that apply once your account is verified. We charge no fees on deposits or withdrawals.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | £2 |
| Minimum withdrawal | £10 |
| Daily withdrawal limit | £5,000 |
| Weekly withdrawal limit | £10,000 |
| Monthly withdrawal limit | £20,000 |
| E-wallet withdrawal time | 0 to 24 hours |
| Card withdrawal time | 1 to 3 business days |
| Bank transfer time | 3 to 5 business days |
| Fees | None |
What Happens If Verification Fails
If you do not complete verification, the first consequence is administrative: withdrawals stay on hold and account features such as bonus conversion are limited until your documents are in order. Your deposited funds remain yours, and once verification is complete we release any pending balance.
If we ask for documents and receive nothing after 30 days, we may suspend the account. If documents appear forged, altered or belonging to another person, we close the account and refund the verified balance to its original source. Where the law obliges us to report suspected money laundering or identity fraud to the FIAU, we do so, and the law prevents us from telling you that a report was made.
You can appeal any verification decision by writing to [email protected]. Our support desk is staffed 24 hours a day, every day, and appeals are reviewed by a compliance officer who was not involved in the original decision.
Document Retention and Your Rights
Maltese anti-money-laundering law requires us to keep your verification records for five years after your account is closed. That period exists so the MGA and the FIAU can audit our decisions, and we cannot shorten it at a player's request, even after self-exclusion or account closure. During the retention period, GDPR still applies: your data stays encrypted, access stays restricted, and it is used only for regulatory purposes.
Once the retention period expires, we delete the records securely and permanently. If you close your account and later return, we may need fresh documents, because we do not keep verification data beyond what the law permits.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to verify before I can deposit and play?
No. You can register, deposit and play on the strength of our electronic identity check. Full document verification is required before your first withdrawal and at certain thresholds.
How long does verification take?
Our compliance team reviews documents within 24 hours in most cases, and within 72 hours at peak times. We notify you by email as soon as a decision is made.
Why was my withdrawal held for extra checks?
Withdrawals above certain amounts, or patterns that differ from your usual activity, can trigger a source of funds review. This is a legal obligation, not a judgement about you, and funds are released once the review is complete.
Can I withdraw to a different method than I deposited with?
No. We return funds to the original deposit method wherever possible. If that method cannot receive payouts, we pay by bank transfer to an account in your own verified name.
What happens to my documents if I close my account?
We keep verification records for five years after closure, as Maltese law requires, then delete them securely. During that period the data stays encrypted and is used only for regulatory purposes.
